About Me
Hi, my name is Rob, but most people call me Wobbly, if you're here,
then it's likely that you are looking for a running coach and hopefully, I can assist.
I’m probably not your typical running coach, I can’t claim to have competed at the highest level, run a 3-hour marathon or blitz my local parkrun. I took up running in 2010 as a way to keep the weight off, in the space of 12 months I went from a nonrunner to my first marathon. Since then I’ve gone on to complete a variety of running events from mile races right up to a 50-mile ultra-marathon.
As well as my own running adventures, I’m passionate about supporting other people to achieve their own running goals. In 2012 I completed a Run Leader course with Run England and with a couple of friends founded The Fylde Coasters, a running group that supported beginner runners from getting off the couch to completing their first 10km.
In 2013 I moved ‘down under’ to beautiful Western Australia where in 2014 I founded another running group that provided interval and beginner running sessions. The group grew and 12 Months later Secret Rocky Runners was officially incorporated as a running club and still thrives today.
In 2018 I obtained my level 2 Recreational Running Certification, accredited with Athletics Australia and along with the knowledge I gained over the years I started to informally coach some friends both here in Australia and in the UK. In May 2020 I made things more formal and Wobbly Running was officially born.
So if you want to be a part of a supportive and fun running group and be coached by someone that will understand your specific running goals, whether you’re a beginner, getting back into running or you are looking to run a specific time or race then please get in touch and let’s see if I can help you achieve your goal.
